Getty Lee, Gary Weintraub? is a miracle born of miracles. Son of two Auswitz survivors says it all. There's a section in his book My Effin' Life that tells some of what his parents endured while at Auswitz, from what I've seen on some videos. The guards there repeated told the prisoners there that everyone outside the camps were dead, there was no one to go back to even if you did get out of the death camps. Trying to psychologically force them to despair and have nothing but hopelessness in their hearts. The Jewish people are way stronger than that, IMHO! There were a couple of 'Good' people in the camp that helped Getty's Mum survive, I believe. This song never fails to bring a tear to my eye, for many years now, because it 'illustrates' quite a lot of feelings graphically, but in words and feel of music. The 'war cry' here, for me, is how could the world have let this happen AND most importantly, how we all can't EVER turn the cheek if this is happening again anywhere in the world. Too sad that, abet on a much smaller scale, it happened to many Jewish people again recently but in a very different way that they were invaded and murdered. Are humans ever going to really learn how to get along? I sure as damn hope so. We are all we have, each other, when it comes down to it. The Jewish people have been used as a scapegoat and thus persecuted way too many times throughout history, IMHO. An 'aside', look up Peace, Love, and Understanding by Elvis Costello. The song is from his second album "Spanish Train and other stories" which explains perfectly how each song on the album is a story, set to music. I still love the album as a whole. His first hit single in South Africa was "Lonely Sky" from the same album. The album was a huge hit, especially after it was banned by the South African Sensor Board for depicting Jesus Christ playing cards and chess. HIs first album was a huge hit in Brazil and was only released in South Africa after the success of Spanish Train. His next two albums also contained many stories, set to music (please listen to the song Crusader". His world wide his "Lady in red" was released a few years after the first few albums.

Watch their live stuff. You have to see how they perform. The instrumental talents of lead singer Jeff will blow you away.

One of the lead guitarists- Hughie Thomasson- was in Lynyrd Skynyrd for a good 10 years, after they reformed. Until his death. Dude was a monster player! You really should check out the live version from their live album. Every song was kicked up a notch or two, and red hot! One of my favorite live albums! You really cant go wrong with any 70s rock group. ALL were good, most were great. You HAD to be - there was nowhere to hide, live- and fans were brutal to pretenders. Also, no studio trickery and a LOT of competition. Also look up Foghat for another killer live band from the era. Lonesome Dave Peverette on vocals and guitar, Rod Price " mister slide" on lead, and a wicked good rythm section. You got your moneys worth from them!

Two for the Show.....recorded live concert footage is a great sampling of Kansas material (2 album set) The energy hits in you in such a magnificent way! You really have to listen to the original and other songs of Alanis Morissette like "Ironic" (as the official video), too. Richie C is Richie Castellano, who plays in BOC and in the live band of Jon Anderson (ex- Yes).

You seem like a nice guy, so I'd like to offer a bit of constructive criticism: if you want to engage viewers and build your channel, you need to offer something interesting. "This is good" isn't interesting. You say you're a musician, but you don't say which instrument; in fact, you didn't talk about music at all. Break it down, analyze it; tell your audience what you're getting out of it. Talk about the time signatures, the chord structures, the motifs, the arrangement, the tones, the recording, relate it to your instrument, compare it to other music you've heard... ...see what I mean? "uh, yeah, this is good" is basically zero content.

You can't begin to appreciate the Dregs from a couple tunes. They covered an incredible range of genres, so much so that you won't believe it until you hear for yourself. Listen to the entirety of "What if" and "Dregs of the Earth" to get a sense of it. These are must-listen albums for any serious musician anyway, and I promise you that you'll be glad you didn't wait. Wear a hat to hold the top of your head on.

Greetings from Canada. Chris Dreja (bass) and Jim McCarty (drums) went on to form "Box of Frogs" who released two great records using guest singers and guitarists... Jimmy Page did four of the tunes. Keith Relf styled himself as 'Howlin' Relf' as paean to the Blues great Howlin' Wolf. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

I never liked them, no matter what track I listen to. There are so many better out there. Ash Code, Cold Cave, Blutengel, Equinoxious etc... Kraftwerk is way too overrated

This was not a family get together song. This was me and my friends in my garage with incense burning and black lights dazzling the fluorescent posters on the wall and smoking $20 an ounce of Columbian or maybe some hits of windowpane. If any of you old people out there know what I'm talking about, this song still gives you chills.

Kind of pitiful that you didnt recognize the gospel influences in the musical structure of this song, which go along with the subject matter of the lyrics.
